This is ICICI bank.. took 2 months to activate my bank account.
Fortunately I brought more than I was told by Mdm. XXX...
I was like so damn insecure before this because out of money!!
Below that is the combo card, serves as the student card, atm card, debit card, library access & for those who got ntg to do to play with by keep gliding on the sensors.
So, account finally activated & that means we can spend..
so we accompanied eric to Udupi to get his phone.
Stop by a pharmacy, where the pharmacists use computer to prescribe medicine..
Malaysia i think also not that advanced..
Along the street, you can find like 8 or 9 drug shops.. too many pharmacy here.
After taking his phone.. we went...
Big Bazaar.
Apparently a small supermarket, to get some food, necessities..
Then we went to a music shop because Eric wanted to buy a keyboard.
On the way..

If I am to stay here for 5 yrs, I think I will get lung cancer..
The place here very dusty..

In the music shop, I spotted an cheap mp3 player that I was planning to buy (rm100 like that)..
(thanks to the
so I tested the mp3, then due to insufficient cash, i used my ICICI debit card to swipe..
FYI, india still haven't introduce the chip type credit card.
So, we still use the word SWIPE!.
k, this is what happened,
i let the boss swipe my card, then he keyed in the amount..
suddenly, I don't know why, something wrong with the machine & no receipt produced..
BUT, ICICI sent me a message stated that the transaction was successful & my account was deducted with no receipt & signature slip produced.. WTF right??
so the boss didn't believe that the transaction was successful & we had some 'discussion'..
I called the ICICI service centre &
wasting of time (except our lecturers, they are damn responsible)...
& the worst is I cant get thru
FYI again, people working in India are exactly like our proudly Malaysian Government..
they delay everything, lazy.. & everyday tidur!!! just like the TNB!
working efficiency <0
so after 1 hr in the shop, finally everything's okay.. but damn.. it kills my ego for the day..
THIS IS INDIA.. fortunately i will be here for only another 2 yrs & 3 months..

Seriously, you won't feel so after 1 year of staying in India. India is much more worse than Malaysia. Money first, service the last.
PS: TNB in Malaysia is at least better than Indian Electric Supply Company.

hey, its ur senior here, from batch 18.
my advice for u is, enjoy urself there, those things there which piss u off are nothing compared to wat u will face in melaka campus. i used to get piss there, like everyone else. but only after we came back to melaka, only we realise that manipal was fun, lecturers were full of love, unlike the unfriendly and poor standard lecturers in melaka campus. Lecturers in melaka show no love or respect to students. Management here is poor as well. u r gonna miss that place dearly when u come back to melaka campus, mark my words. Life is full of twists and turns, joy and disappointments, and life is short, enjoy urself there :)
